About Leucadia Glass

Rick and Kathy Smith have owned and operated Leucadia Glass since 1973. As of mid 2012 Leucadia Glass became incorporated. Their two sons Dallas and Spencer are employed there as well, a true “family business”.

Leucadia Glass is and has been a member in good standing of America's Glass Association (formerly California Glass Association) since 1980. In 1985 Rick was elected to be a member of the board of California Glass Association. In 1982 Rick was elected to the San Diego County Glass Association as a board member and served as President for four different terms. Rick co-authored the mirror manual which is used by America's Glass Association and the National Glass Association as a reference manual for measuring, fabricating and proper installation of mirrors.

Additionally, Rick periodically leads training seminars for the National Glass Association and America's Glass Association. Rick frequently is called upon to travel to Sacramento as an expert to help rewrite the glazing portion of the California State Contractor's license exam.
